Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how we keep it safe.
Effective July 3, 2026
Notice: This Privacy Policy is a working template provided for placeholder purposes and has not yet been finalized by legal counsel. It describes, in plain language, how Jurably intends to handle your information. Please read it alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
Jurably operates a self-help document platform that helps real-estate investors and consumers get documents notarized, filed, and recorded. Jurably is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. This policy explains how we treat the information you share with us.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to deliver our services, including:
- Account and contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Order and document information — the documents you upload (such as a signed purchase contract), the parties named in them, property addresses, legal descriptions, closing dates, and the mailing addresses you confirm.
- Identity verification data — information used by our notary partners to verify signers during online notarization, which may include a government ID image and knowledge-based verification results handled by those partners.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser type, and interactions with the platform, collected to operate and improve the service.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the services you request — notarizing, mailing, filing, and recording your documents.
- To verify identities and help prevent fraud, including confirming that a filing is based on a genuine, executed contract.
- To process payments and pass through government and vendor fees.
- To send transactional updates, such as recording confirmations, instrument numbers, and renewal or expiration reminders.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the platform.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Third parties we share with
Delivering an order requires sharing certain information with the independent providers who carry out each step. These may include:
- Notary partners (online and mobile) — to verify signers and notarize documents.
- Certified-mail and courier providers — to send required notices and produce proof of mailing.
- County recording offices — the destination of record for documents you choose to record; recorded documents typically become part of the public record.
- Payment processors — to handle transactions securely.
- Infrastructure and analytics vendors — hosting, storage, and product analytics that help us run the platform.
We share only what each provider needs to perform its function. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
5. Public records
When you instruct us to record a document with a county, that document — and the information it contains — generally becomes a public record maintained by the county, outside Jurably's control. Consider this before submitting a filing.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the services, maintain records of completed filings, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may be extended where a longer period is required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond consistent with applicable law. You can also opt out of non-essential marketing messages at any time.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
10. Children's privacy
Jurably is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
